Blavatsky in 1877, colorized, fair use.

“However superhuman the efforts of the early Christian fathers to obliterate the Secret Doctrine from the very memory of man, they all failed. Truth can never be killed; hence the failure to sweep away entirely from the face of the earth every vestige of that ancient Wisdom, and to shackle and gag every witness who testified to it.”
H. P. Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine Vol. I, Introductory, p. xl
.

The Theosophical Archive is a private, non-profit and ongoing project initiative to preserve rare and forgotten archival materials in both English and German language of and about Theosophy (self-knowledge of divinity in man) with the focus on, but not limited to, the modern Theosophical Movement, launched by the German-Russian mystic and esotericist Helena Petrowna Blavatsky (Blavatskaja) in 1875 in New York City. The second focus is on the Blavatsky Tradition, but is not limited to; differentiation is made on a case-by-case basis.

We give access to our digitized collections free-of-charge to both theosophical students and academics. Donations are welcome.

We contribute to the The Standard Spiritualist and Occult Corpus (SSOC), which is limited to the English language, but we publish also archival materials in the German language.

We publish only archival materials which is in the public domain and we do respect copyrights. If you regard an unindentionally violation of your copyright, please email us and we will remove immediate the objected item if legitimate.

Your contribution

If you are a library, private archivist or researcher and have contribution materials as a gift, as a file or to loan, we will be happy to take that material and digitize it with an overhead book scanner, which has a cradle to gently scan valuable, fragile books, holding the book in a natural position which will not damage the book’s spine. Please contact us to arrange for contribution of material. We will pay all postal costs.

Your additions to our want list are also welcome.

If you are a researcher or student with time to help us with the post scanning processing of the raw pdf files (control for scan errors, adjust pages format), please contact us.
