17 Nov 2025: The Theosophical Society Adyar launches the Anniverary film ONE FIRE | The enduring legacy of Theosophy and Helena Blavatsky | FULL DOCUMENTARY | 2025. Our short comment, review follows later:
Average. As usual, lots of self-praise and little culture of learning from mistakes. Many things have nothing to do with Blavatsky; she certainly wasn’t referring to Krishnamurti when she spoke of a new teacher who was to come. Steiner didn’t resign; he was expelled by Besant because he refused to accept her dogma that his Upanishad bon mots made him a world teacher and a new Christ, and because, contrary to Blavatsky, the statutes, and the 1900 warning letter from K.H. directly addressed to her, she made belief in Krishnamurti a religious obligation and stifled freedom of conscience and expression.
Blavatsky however wanted the TS a platform, a forum for serious discourse, not blind belief an bhakdi yoga with merely emotions and admirers. The PLandemic of 2020, the biggest scientific, medical and mass media fraud of all time, was the litmus test. Independent thinkers were needed to prevent the millions of unnecessary vaccine victims, vaccine cripples, and vaccine deaths. The theosophists were not ready. The Querdenken Movement (Lateral Thinking) in Germany were led by anthroposophists. Also in the USA leading critics of the Covid regime with slave masks, lockdowns and the poison jabs were influenced by Dr. Steiner (such as Dr. Tom Cowan or Dr. Meryl Nass, to name but a few).
A purely formal commitment to Blavatsky, mere lip service, that is not enough. That wasn’t what she wanted. She wanted her teachings to be lived. Her condition that the introduction of new teachings dependens on the acquisition of existing ones remains unexamined. But that would have been the most important question on the 150th anniversary: whether the Theosophists justified themselves before Blavatsky and her teachers by improving people’s lives.
The technical implementation is professionell, also the she-speaker with pleasant voice and intonation. One of the first commentators under the film also said, that it does not do justice to the spirit of Blavatsky. Was deleted immediately, business as usual. Dissenting opinions or facts are unbrotherly. However, flattery remains permitted.
12 Nov 2025: After the Eaton Fire destruction the Theosophical University Press (TUP) relaunches a selection of book titles available in print.
23 Aug 2025: Relaunch of this website after the site was shut down following the death of our technical admin.
23 July 2025: Publication of H. P. BLAVATSKY COLLECTED WRITINGS RUSSIAN SERIALS, 100 p. Until now (Nov., 19) not available for order.

24 March, 2025: The long-awaited second volume of Blavatsky’s collected letters is out: The Letters of H. P. Blavatsky: Volume 2 1879-1883. The collection of Boris de Zirkoff was continued by John Cooper in Australia, who was in attempt to publish them in five volumes, with many comments by him, four of them ready to the printer, when he died. John Algeo did not accept Coopers edition and comments and stopped the publication process. The Algeo version of vol. 1 raised much controversy. The first two volumes were also Coopers PhD thesis, for which he received posthum his doctor of philosophy.
In the 1990ies a three volumes editon of her letters in Russian and Ukrainian archives were allegedly published as “Письма Елены Петровны Блаватской” („Letters of Elena Petrowna Blavatskaja“): Vol. 1 (1860-1879), vol. 2 (1880-1884) and vol. 3 (1885-1891). In 2002 “Е. П. Блаватская. Письма друзьям и сотрудникам | Блаватская Елена Петровна (“H. P. Blavatsky: Letters to friends an coworkers”) was published (ISBN: 5-93975-062-1, c. 784 pages).
In 1990 the “Письма Елены Петровны Блаватской в одесскую газету “Правда” (“Letters of H. P. Blavatsky in the Odessa newspaper Pravda”) were published (ISBN 978-966-190-293-9). This Odessa Pravda must not be confused with the Moscow Pravda launched in 1912.
Single Blavatsky letters are online at the Ukrainian Roerich site.
08 Jan 2025: The Eaton Fire in Pasadena-Altadena destroyed the biggest theosophical archive in the world, theosophical art works, the library and 75% of the publisher’s stock.

Comm. by Prof. Wouter J. Hanegraaff: “Horrible, deeply dramatic news for anybody who cares about the preservation of Theosophical heritage. I was just told that the entire property of the Theosophical Society in Altadena near Pasadena has been completely destroyed by the fires in Los Angeles. This was the world’s largest archive of Theosophical materials, including a library with 40.000 titles, the entire archive of the history of the TS, including ca. 10.000 unpublished letters, pertaining to HPB, the Mahatmas, W.Q. Judge, G.R.S. Mead, Katherine Tingley, and G. de Purucker, membership records since 1875, art objects, and countless other irreplaceable materials. The archives also contained works of Boehme, Gichtel, donations from the king of Siam including rare Buddhist scriptures, and so on. [with thanks to Reinout Spaink for the information] This is obviously just one part of an even much larger drama that is currently unfolding, but one that deals a devasting blow to the modern study of esotericism and of modern Theosophy more in particular. It is hard to fathom but it seems to be true.”
Addition by Massimo Introvigne: “Paintings by Machell were also lost. It seems “The Path” had been moved to a building nearby, its fate is so far unknown.”
One is reminded of the fires of October 2007 in the San Diego area, which destroyed 80% of the unpublished documents, letters, photos etc. of the archives of Point Loma Publications. Ken Small informed with an email newsletters headlined “Narada has come”. On its website it was stated: “I have very unfortunate news. The recent fire consumed virtually all of PLP’s back inventory (95% of its published in print books) and 85% of the library, etc. (Some books and all the archive of photos and art work are safe and some archive originals at another location.) Additionally a complete copy of the archive was made about 6 years ago, but much original material was lost. A complete overview of the loss will be accomplished during the next 1-2 weeks. The fire storm came through at 1000 degrees+ so everything burned from the inside out with near 100 mph winds according to the fire department Sunday night October 21. This fire burned around 80,000 acres during last week in San Diego County. A second fire burned almost 200,000 acres in the north part of the county.
Such is the impermanent nature of things, and though the wisdom lives on, there is the importance and necessity of safeguarding and maintaining for future enerations the literature of the Theosophical Movement in an accessible way as well. To that end we are initiating with the cooperation of Theosophical friends and groups in the US and Europe a project to digitally scan the entire Point Loma Theosophical literary heritage.” – The website was closed end of 2011. In the Fundraising Newsletter March 2025 Ken Small is still projeting the scan project and a Lomaland Wiki site.
The strange thing is that some years ago the archives of the Adyar TS was also threatened by the flooding from the nearby Adyar river, the water came within 100 meters of the main building.
Also strange, that over the time some historical items were lost, damaged oder stolen. The original typewriter of Blavatsky in London, in the home of W. Emeett Small of Point Loma Publications, was stolen by a visitor. The so-called Judge diary in the E.S. archives of the TS Pasadena was mutilated by a visitor, several pages in regard of the successor quarrel with Katherine Tingley, were cut out. Now, probably the entire diary was destroyed by the Eaton fire. Some items in the display case in Blavatsky’s room in the TS Adyar were stolen (one or two rings and the famous cupboard).
